George Skeat

In 1982 George Skeat bought Klippe Rivier and tried his hand at dairy farming. He also installed a free-standing "bath" in one of the back rooms in the main homestead - as there had not been a permanent one until then. In fact, in was only in 1987 that proper plumbing and bathrooms were installed by the next owner, Ronald Mylchreest.
